Speaking on Go Radio Business Show this week, David MacDonald, owner and CEO of Cullen shared his entrepreneurial journey with Haughey and Hunter. David, who is winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 UK Transformational Leader spoke about his passion for sustainability and Cullen’s exponential growth as he led the business to it’s best year yet in 2022. Innovation, reliability and sustainability are the foundations upon which Cullen are based, and David talked about how expansion globally has meant we are brining sustainable moulded fibre, 100% plastic free products to 34 countries.
As manufacturers of machines and products, from the 14 acre site just outside Glasgow, David spoke proudly about how a team of in-house designers and engineers allow David and the Cullen team to stay at the forefront of innovation and continue to meet market demands.
Further infrastructure expansion plans will create another 120 local jobs for the Glasgow sleeping giant and David plans to increase capacity to 1 billion plastic free products every year.
David also shared his latest innovation, the worlds first scalable Fibre Bottle, designed to replace plastic bottles and pouches for dry goods such as vitamins, spices any dry goods that are currently housed in single-use plastic unnecessarily so.
